Let’s increase youth participation in organized cycling.
A charity dinner to support youth cycling featuring honorary guest speaker Chris Horner, American Grand Tour Winner, and NBC Tour de France Commentator.
Help us raise $25,000 to support five East Bay Mountain Bike teams with equipment and funds to help get kids to races and experience the joy of cycling.

The Mission and Cause
The Berkeley Bicycle Club, the KaiVelo Foundation, and Shimano have raised over $50,000 to support the Berkeley High School Mt. Bike Team with equipment for the past three years. We now want to expand our support to provide cycling equipment to the following East Bay youth mountain bike teams:
The Program and Raffle
We’ve put together an amazing evening of food and drinks at Clif Bar’s headquarters in Emeryville. The raffle is a unique format. Participants can add tickets to a pool specific to the item that they want. The more tickets you buy and add to that pool, the greater your chance is of winning the item.

6:45 PM Intro with Special Guest Bob Muzzy, a Founding Member of the BBC
Bob Muzzy is a founding member of the Berkeley Bicycle Club, who won numerous district and national titles on the road and track. He also spent one season racing in Belgium.
7:00 PM Panel discussion with Nate English, Sandy Floren, Nick Hoeper-Tomich and Allison Marten
Nate English is a former professional cyclist, who placed 5th at the US Pro TT, top 5 and top 10 at national level events, won dozens of P1/2 local races, and finished 14th in the Amgen Tour of CA.
Sandy Floren is a Berkeley native and the current U.S. U23 National Champion for XC Mountain Biking.
Nick Hoeper-Tomich is the head coach for the BHS MTB.
Allison Marten is going to be a senior at Albany and is the Captain of the Albany Mt. Bike Team.

8:00 PM Fireside Chat with American Grand Tour Winner, Chris Horner
Chris Horner is a former American professional cyclist with a long resume of achievements in the U.S. and in Europe. He is most well known for winning the Vuelta a España in 2013, and becoming the oldest winner of any of cycling's grand tours.
