THE PINOLE TEAM TIME TRIAL

Date: Sunday March 24, 2002. Registration from 7:00 to 8:45 am. Rain or Shine.

Same Course as Last Year. Individual TT Categories!!!

Under NCNCA Rules and Permit

Location and Course: From I-80 take the Pinole exit. Follow Pinole Valley Rd. east one-half mile to Pinole Valley High School. Registration and Parking at Pinole Valley High School. Start will be the same as in past years, 1 block past Ellerhorst School. Course: Approximately 13.5 miles out and back along Pinole Valley Rd., Alhambra Valley Rd., and Bear Creek Rd. Turn around at Garcia Ranch Road and second turn around 1.1 miles past Bear Creek Rd. on Alhambra Valley Rd. Mostly good pavement, some bumps and ruts.

Categories and Start: Sr. 1/2/P, Sr 3, Sr 4, Sr 5. Masters combined ages 70+, 90+, Women 1/2/P, Wmn 3, Wmn 4, Wmn 5, Jr., Coed, Tandem, and Individual Open men and Open womens categories on space available basis. Field limit 100 teams. First team off at 8:30 am. Starts at one minute intervals. First registered first off. Pre-entries start first.

Entries: 25$ per team (2 person or solo). 15$ for juniors. Entries must be postmarked by Saturday March 16. Late or race day entries add 5$. Entry fees include NCNCA surcharges. One-day licenses available for Public riders. RIDERS MUST CHECK IN DAY OF RACE, even if they are preregistered. Team entries have priority and is strongly recommended, the BBC will try to pair up lonely hearts.

Riders of different categories can team together, but in the higher category. No refunds for missed starting times or lost partners. No refunds. A 2001 NCNCA license or NCNCA one day license will be required at registration.

Prizes: 75$ merchandise and/or cash to P/1/2 and W P/1/2. $60.00 merchandise/gift certificates to 3 places in other categories. $30 for individual categories. $40 to fastest time of the day. Timed by second rider for teams.

Please Note: Warm up off of Course. Do not cross the finish line unless you are finishing. All NCNCA rules apply. No unofficial follow vehicles. Obey all traffic laws.
